Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 August 2026
These terms govern your use of healthbook.my, a personal health records service operated from Malaysia. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What the service is
healthbook.my lets you store and organize health records for yourself and your family: documents you upload, and health data you enter such as vitals, symptoms, medications, and appointments. It also offers AI features that read your data server-side and generate summaries, explanations, and suggestions.
What the service is not
healthbook.my is not a medical service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, it is not a registered medical device, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Nothing it shows you, including AI output, is a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Do not use it in an emergency: in Malaysia, call 999.
AI features and their limits
The AI features send your relevant data to an AI model provider whose servers run outside Malaysia, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, including when reading lab values from documents. We publish no accuracy benchmark for it because none exists. Verify anything that matters with your doctor before acting on it.
Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials to yourself, and be entitled to enter the data you enter. If you add family member profiles for a child, you must be their parent or guardian. If you add another adult, you must have that person's own agreement first; being in the same family does not by itself give you the right to enter their health data. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Your content
Your records and documents remain yours. You grant us only the license needed to operate the service: to store your content, show it back to you, and, when you use an AI feature, to process it as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights over it.
Keep your original documents. The service is a convenience copy of your records, not a system of record for medical care, and you should not rely on it as the only copy of any document that matters.
Acceptable use
- No unlawful use, and no uploading content you have no right to hold.
- No attempts to break, probe, or overload the service.
- No scraping or bulk-extracting other users' data.
- No reselling the service or the AI features.
Plans and billing
The free plan has monthly usage limits. Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or annually, and auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of a purchase for a full refund. Prices and limits are listed on the pricing page.
Availability and warranties
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we make no warranties beyond those that Malaysian law does not allow us to exclude.
Liability
To the extent Malaysian law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any other claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. This cap does not apply to death or personal injury caused by negligence, to fraud, or to any liability that the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or other Malaysian law does not allow to be excluded or limited.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and can request deletion of your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms; where practical, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first.
Changes and governing law
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and Malaysian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
