Your Data, Your Rules
Health data deserves specifics rather than adjectives, so here is what actually protects your records and where the limits are.
Encrypted in Transit and at Rest
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, and your files and records are stored in Cloudflare R2 and D1, which encrypt data at rest.
Server-Side AI, Stated Plainly
Reading a document means our servers open it and send it to the AI model provider that generates the analysis. Nobody holds a key that locks us out of your files, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Per-Record Visibility
Every record and symptom log carries its own visibility setting. Anything you keep private stays out of the shared views other people in your account can open.
Delete It Yourself, Anytime
Records, vitals, symptoms, appointments, and family profiles can each be deleted from your account whenever you want. We do not sell health data or use it for advertising.

What file formats are supported for upload?
You can upload PDFs, images (JPG, PNG, HEIC), and photos taken directly from your phone camera. Our AI-powered OCR can read printed lab reports, scanned prescriptions, and even handwritten notes. We support documents from virtually any hospital or laboratory format.
Is healthbook.my free to use?
Yes, healthbook.my offers a free tier that includes document uploads, AI analysis, and basic health tracking. Paid plans raise the upload and export limits and add family profiles; the pricing page lists what each tier includes.
Can I share my records with my doctor?
Yes. You can generate a summary PDF covering recent vitals, active symptoms, and current medications, and open time-limited download links to individual records to show or forward. One thing to know before you hand the PDF over: the summary is built from your patient profile as a whole, so check it before sharing rather than assuming records you marked private were left out. Your doctor does not need an account to read it.
How does healthbook.my handle Malaysia's PDPA?
Healthbook.my is a Malaysian service, so the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 is the law that applies to your data. Concretely: we collect the health data you choose to put in, we use it to run the features you use, we do not sell it or use it for advertising, and you can delete it. Documents leave our systems only to the AI model provider that processes them for you, and that provider runs on servers outside Malaysia. The PDPA also gives you rights of access and correction, not only deletion; the privacy notice we are preparing will publish the address those requests go to. What we do not have is a compliance certificate or an external audit of any kind, and we will not imply one. A full written privacy notice is being prepared; until it is published, this answer is the accurate description of what we do.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. You can generate a PDF summary of your health record to hand to a doctor, and share specific records at any time. Broader machine-readable export formats are not built yet, so we are not going to list formats we do not ship. Deleting records is available today.
